Visit Aulestad, situated approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Lillehammer, and get a unique insight into one of Norway’s best preserved artist’s homes.
The farm Aulestad is beautifully situated on the sunny side of Gausdal. This is where the writer Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832-1940) lived with his Karoline for 35 years, and this is where he found great inspiration for his poems and his public engagement.
